Of all the people online sharing podcastingtips and tricks, why on Earth would you want to listen to me?Well, in this episode, I just wanted to take a minute to reintroducemyself to you and share with you where I learn everything that I share withyou on this podcast and my youtube channel. Starting a podcast is easy, butgrowing an audience can be hard. podcasters faced so many challenges that canmake them want to quit. So I'm here to help them stay in thegame. This is podcast therapy. Hey, I'm travis and I'm obsessed with podcasting. That's right. First and foremost, I am a podcast lover, Iam a podcast consumer and I'm a podcast Creator, and I'm happy tohave you here in my community. Now, you might know me from pod decks, and if you don't know what pod decks are, their unique interviewquestions and episode starting prompts in the palm of your hand. There are toolfor podcasters that have deeper conversations, to...

...have more engaging social media posts andjust have fun podcasting. And if you haven't checked it out yet, wehave a mobile APP version of pod decks that you can download and get overtwozero questions on your phone but you might not know that I have an extensiveaudio background. So I wanted to let you know that I've been editing podcastfor the last eight years for coaches, entrepreneurs, authors, all all kindsof different podcasters at podcast buddy dot CEO. So what we do is we dothe dirty work, we take your podcast, make it shine. Youget to do the fun part, which is have your interview or have yourshow, and we do the rest. So I've been producing podcasts for along time and that's one place that I'm getting a lot of my information from. I'm watching what's working from clients, I am testing things with them andI share these with you. So everything that I'm sharing on my pod dextchannel comes from actual personal experience or a...

...client who has used these strategies, and I just wanted to share with you how powerful podcasting can be. Myfirst ever podcast editing client, Tom Reeber from the contractor fight, just gotan HGTV show from a producer who listened to his podcast. So He's beenpodcasting for a long time, consistently putting out episodes and optimizing using our strategycalls. And here we are today with somebody who got a TV show frompodcasting. So anything is possible. So audio such a big part of mylife. I was a musician, I toured the country, I learned audioproduction and recorded bands, and my passion is to help people find their voice, grow their audience and live the life of your dreams. So let's talkabout finding your voice. I share a lot of information about finding your truevoice. I can tell you right now...

...that I've started things around podcasting before, but was never my true, authentic self. I'm kind of a WackyGuy, I'm fun I'm out there and I used to put on a nicelight blue dress shirt and pretend to be this sort of polished corporate person andit never worked. It never felt true to myself. And here I amtoday wearing a hat and a tshirt and having the time of my life justbeing me. So if you're out there wondering, Hey, will people thinkmy voice is weird or they don't like the way I dress? Don't worryabout that stuff. Just be your authentic self. So pod dex is anamazing company that I've been a part of and it's brought me to a lotof new podcasters. Just having a podcast editing agency didn't let me reach asmany people as I wanted to, and I'm so grateful that pod dex isa tool that thousands of podcasters have adopted and use on their show. Sothis has brought me to creating this podcast,...

...podcast therapy, to share all thethings that I'm learning. I'm constantly studying the industry. I'm constantly lookingat what's working, what new tools are out there for you to use.Again, I want to help you grow your audience. There's nothing that makesme happier than sharing something with you that can help you change your show, grow your show, optimize your show, and that's exactly why I do thisnow. In addition to that, I'm a dad. I have two beautifulchildren, a son and a daughter, who keep me super busy and inspired. I just love how kids have no filter. I think kids should havea podcast at some point, because they don't care. They just tell youhow they feel, they tell you the truth and I just think it's beautiful. So that's another thing that I want to share with you, is I'malways here to tell you the truth and be transparent. I actually posted thatI thought one podcast host was the best and I had to make a newvideo later on because I found something better. So I'm always going to share withyou the latest and greatest things that...

I'm using in podcasting or tools thatI've found that can enhance your life. And as far as growing your audience, I think that there's lots of different ways to do that. Of courseI'm sharing that through courses, I'm sharing that through my youtube channel and videosand podcasting. So I hope that it can help you somewhere down the road. Now I had a podcaster asked me why should I listen to you asopposed to someone else, and I want to do address that. I dothink that you need to find somebody that energizes you, that motivates you, that resonates with you, and that's the best way to consume information. Buteverything I'm sharing with you is only from personal experience. It's only things thatI think are working. So if I ever give you advice that is counterintuitiveto what someone else is saying, that's okay because I'm just sharing what wasworking for me or my clients. Now I've launched over a hundred podcast andhave over two million downloads and I'm of course, sharing the information that we'veused to get to those places, but...

...what I'm telling you isn't always thebe all end. I'll answer to the question. There's lots of amazing peopleout there sharing information. So just find people that, like I said, get you jazzed up, get you excited to podcast and take the information thatthey're sharing and if it applies to you, then use it, and if itdoesn't, then don't use it. audio is subjective. We all thinkthings sound different. We all think different things sound good. Formats are different. I made present a format to you, but you think that the format you'reusing is working, then keep using your format. All I'm doing hereis sharing what I see working and that's all I'll ever do. Complete transparency. If something's working, I'll let you know. If something isn't working,I will also let you know. So that's a little bit about me.I'm also a musician and an artist. I love making art. I doscreen printing and I record songs and that's...

...a big part of my life.Audio and creativity is a big part of my life and I'm super grateful toget to share all these things with you through podcasting, through pod decks, through podcast buddy and, of course, my private facebook community the podcast BuilderClub, if you haven't joined that. We've got a great community of abunch of podcasters who are working together to live the life of our dreams. So that's a little bit about me. I just wanted to take a minuteto reintroduce you myself to you and let you know who's behind pod decks andwhy you might want to listen to the advice that I'm sharing. Let meknow who's your favorite podcasting influencer. Who Do you listen to for advice onpodcasting? I'm always looking to find new people in the industry and connect withthem, so let me know if you have a favorite. All you gotto do is just send me a DM or an email, and I'd loveto know who gets you excited about podcasting. So, until the next time, this is Travis, Aka the Question Guy, Aka your biggest podcast fan. Whatever you do, just keep going,...

...just keep going, keep creating, keep podcasting, because I can promise you consistency wins at the end ofthe day and I believe in you. Your story is unlike anybody else's,so keep going.
